Day 1: Kigoma Airport to Gombe Stream National Park

You will be picked up on arrival at Kigoma Airport and transferred to Ujiji village where you will visit Dr. Livingstone memorial center.

Then you will be transferred to Kibirizi port for your boat to Gombe. On arrival you will transfer to Kasakera Camp in time for a freshly prepared lunch.

After Lunch commence your first Chimpanzee trek in Gombe. 13h00 start an evening Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Val vet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, dik dik, and various tropical birds inhabit the dense forest. Dinner and overnight are at Kasakera Camp.

Day 2: Gombe Stream National Park

Breakfast is served at 0800hrs. shortly after you will depart on yet another Chimpanzee trek in the forest. You will also visit Kakombe waterfalls which is among the best attractions in the park. If time allows, you can climb Jane’s peak where you will have a chance to enjoy the view of the park. Meals and overnight are at Kasekara Rest House.

Day 3: Gombe Stream National Park to Kigoma – Coastal View Resort

After breakfast, partake in one more chimpanzee trek. We will explore other areas of the park and also visit the Mkenge Waterfall.

Return to camp in time for lunch. Depart Gombe shortly after and head back to Kigoma town for dinner and overnight stay at Coastal View Resort Kigoma.

Day 4:  Gombe Stream National Park to Kigoma to Dar es Salaam

Transfer to Kigoma Airport after an early breakfast to meet onward flight.
