Day 4

Day 4 Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport

Enjoy a stunningly picturesque drive as we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a day of game viewing.  Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Forming a spectacular bowl of approximately 265 square kilometres, with sides up to 600 metres deep, it is home to approximately 30,000 animals at any one time. The Crater rim is over 2,200 metres high and experiences its own climate.  Ngorongoro Crater is home to the very last few black rhino left in captivity, not to mention one of the few places left in East Africa where you can see the BIG 5. Spend the day exploring the Crater floor.

Ascend the crater in the early afternoon as we make our way back to Arusha where the wildlife safari ends.
