Day 1– Arrival Day – Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a SafariHQ guide will meet you and provide private transfer to your hotel for check-in. The evening is yours to unwind and recover from your journey. Day 2 – Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Following an early breakfast, your guide will collect you from the hotel for a scenic road journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The drive includes a stop at the Equator Crossing for photos and a chance to experience standing in both hemispheres. As the journey progresses, the landscape transforms into rolling hills and terraced farms—hallmarks of the Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as “The Switzerland of Africa.” You will continue through the dramatic valleys of Kisoro, passing through traditional villages and volcanic scenery before arriving in the Rushaga sector by late afternoon. Your stay tonight is at Four Gorillas Lodge, an eco-luxury lodge perched above the forest with spectacular views and peaceful seclusion. The rest of the evening is for relaxation, followed by dinner with views into the jungle.

Day 2 – Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a detailed pre-trek briefing. You’ll then set off into the ancient rainforest, accompanied by a team of researchers, rangers, and expert trackers. The Gorilla Habituation Experience offers a rare and extended four-hour encounter with a gorilla family that is gradually becoming used to human presence. You’ll observe their interactions, feeding habits, and social behavior up close, and may even be asked to participate in data collection or gorilla vocalization exercises. This extraordinary day is not only immersive but educational, offering an insider’s view into conservation efforts and the challenges of primate research. The trek also reveals a biodiverse ecosystem filled with forest birds, butterflies, smaller primates, and unique flora. After your time in the forest, return to Four Gorillas Lodge for a late lunch, a warm shower, and a restful evening under the stars.
