Day 1

Day 1 – Kilimanjaro International Airport to Tarakea Border & Amboseli National Park

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, or following pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha, begin your journey toward the Namanga border. After completing immigration formalities, you will be introduced to your Kenyan driver-guide who will take you onward into Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations.

Arrive in Amboseli shortly after lunch and set out for an afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s open plains and wetlands. Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds, sweeping views, and the magnificent backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Look out for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, buffalo, giraffes, and abundant birdlife as you begin your Kenyan safari experience.

In the evening, settle into the comfort of Amboseli Serena Lodge, where a delicious dinner and a restful night await.

Day 2 – Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

After breakfast, depart Amboseli National Park and begin the scenic drive north toward Nairobi, passing through classic Maasai country and open savannah landscapes along the way. Arrival in the city is around midday, followed by a transfer to your hotel in the heart of Nairobi.

Take the remainder of the day to relax, explore the vibrant city at your leisure, or enjoy the hotel’s facilities.

Day 3 – Nairobi to Masai Mara

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and travel southwest toward the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through the scenic Great Rift Valley and across rolling plains before arriving at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, head out on your first Masai Mara game drive, exploring the reserve’s rich savannahs in search of lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and an array of plains game. With its diverse wildlife and dramatic landscapes, the Mara offers exceptional photographic opportunities and unforgettable sightings.

Return to the lodge in the early evening for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 4 – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy a full day of unforgettable game viewing in the Masai Mara, one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich and visually stunning reserves. Spend the day exploring the Mara’s sweeping plains, riverine forests, and rolling hills in search of its abundant wildlife.

This is prime Big Cat territory, with excellent chances of seeing lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and countless antelope species. Depending on the season, you may also witness the dramatic movements of the Great Migration, one of the natural world’s most spectacular events.

Between sightings, enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to the lodge for a hot meal before continuing your afternoon exploration.

Return to Mara Sopa Lodge in the evening for dinner and a restful night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 5 – Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and travel through the scenic Rift Valley landscape toward Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya’s most beautiful freshwater lakes. Arrive at Naivasha Sopa Lodge in time for lunch.

The afternoon is free to enjoy at your leisure. Optional activities in the area include a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to spot hippos and birdlife, a visit to Crescent Island Sanctuary for a guided walking safari among giraffes and antelope, or simply relaxing on the lodge’s lush grounds overlooking the water.

In the evening, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
