This fascinating stop provides a glimpse into one of Africa’s most iconic moments in exploration history.

Continue to Kibirizi Port and board a boat transfer to Gombe Stream National Park, Tanzania’s smallest yet one of its most famous national parks, set along the eastern shores of Lake Tanganyika. The scenic journey offers beautiful views of fishing villages and forested hills before arriving at your lodge.

Upon arrival, transfer to Kasakera Camp, where a freshly prepared lunch awaits. In the afternoon, set out on your first chimpanzee trekking adventure through the lush forests of Gombe Stream National Park. Follow the calls of the chimps with your experienced guide and enjoy sightings of other resident wildlife such as colobus and vervet monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, dik-diks, and an abundance of tropical birdlife.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the forest and the gentle waves of Lake Tanganyika.
